Our client is an investment and asset management firm, with various products, i.e., Asset Management Business – investment funds, private equity funds, multi-strategy fund, absolute return equity fund etc. Headquartered in Hong Kong, with offices in PRC and US. Their trading volume has grown rapidly, and eager to capture the market and expand further. With the changing needs of the markets and commitment towards sustainable development & growth in the regions, they are currently looking for a Legal professional to join the team in Hong Kong.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for all legal matters in Hong Kong. You will also participate in ad hoc projects as assigned. Liaise and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate wide range of contracts and agreements in English and Chinese
- Involve in investment related transactions
- Provide legal and regulatory advice to stakeholders
- Mitigate legal risks
- Work closely with compliance department
- Liaise and manage external counsels
- Work with various business units on transactions and projects
- Participate in ad hoc projects and new initiatives as assigned
Candidate profile
8+ PQE, with experience in law firms and/or in-house environment, solid experience in asset management. Familiar with various asset management products. Able to draft and review contracts and agreements in Chinese and English. Capable to work independently. You must possess excellent presentation and communication skills and be fluent in Chinese and English. Possess a strategic mindset, excellent risk awareness, global vision and being ethical. Able to read, write and speak in Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English.
