ABOUT US:
Irrigation Australia is the national peak industry Association representing Australia's 25,000 urban and rural irrigation professionals.
Irrigation Australia’s purpose is to support the adoption of efficient and productive irrigation practices across Australia’s food and fibre markets, leisure activity spaces and commercial activities to ensure the best use of our most precious resource.
These irrigation professionals are largely unseen, yet are critical to the success of Australia's horticulture, irrigated agriculture and amenity landscaping sectors. Irrigation Australia supports our members and our industry by:
- Encouraging industry stakeholders to join Irrigation Australia as members, to support their Association in promoting an efficient and sustainable irrigation industry,
- Building stakeholder relations and shaping irrigation water policy at a regional, state and Federal level,
- Operating a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that provides targeted professional training across Australia,
- Managing and growing a professional certification program,
- Delivering industry-leading national and regional conferences, exhibitions, and events,
- Sharing industry knowledge through technical Journals, the Irrigation Australia Website, and through our e newsletter and social media platforms, and,
- Securing and delivering industry-critical funded projects.
PURPOSE:
- To provide administrative support for Irrigation Australia’s Membership and the Waterwise Program.
ABOUT THE ROLE/ DUTIES:
- Answering incoming calls and email enquiries.
- Building working relationships with internal and external key stakeholders, particularly the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation and Water Corporation.
- Scanning, filing and managing documents.
- Ordering Office Supplies.
- Database management.
- Member engagement.
- Sending and receiving mail.
- Ensure that all documents, information and certificates are delivered in a timely manner.
- Provide support to the broader administration team when needed.
- Adhere to Irrigation Australia’s policies and procedures to deliver a safe working environment.
- Other duties as required.
ABOUT YOU:
We are looking for a friendly and self-motivated individual to join our team. Reasonable computer skills are preferred however training will be provided. We are a small organisation, but there are plenty of opportunities to learn and develop, and performance is rewarded – we need people who are interested in training, marketing, website management, social media, finance, business administration, events and IT. It is a new role created due to a growing workload and a great opportunity to build foundation skills to shape your future career.
Presently situated in Cockburn Central with onsite parking available. Possibility of relocating the office to north of the river.
