The role:
The Ward Clerk - Acute Medical Unit provides:
• An effective and efficient clerical, administrative and reception support service to staff within the Acute Medical Unit (AMU), with functions undertaken under general direction based on established procedures and practice.
• An effective front line service to the public.

The team
- The Acute Medical Unit is a 25-bed unit including 9 negative pressure rooms. Providing care for higher acuity medical patients.
- The AMU team pride themselves on providing a highly supportive environment for all staff.
- The Clerical team provides a friendly and professional welcome to patients and their visitors on AMU.
Details of Appointment
Permanent, part time, shift-worker (fully rotational) position working 40 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant
- Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.
Salary: $64,125 to $68,925 pro rata per annum + 11% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022

The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre‑employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

- crimes involving dishonesty
