About Our Facility
The Rapid Assessment Planning Unit (RAPU) is a 16 bed short stay Acute Medical Unit for patients from the Emergency Department that need a short admission and will benefit from intensive, routine allied health input. A multidisciplinary team approach is used to develop a plan of care for a safe and effective discharge from hospital within 48 to 76 hours.
About the Role
The Ward Clerk is responsible for the delivery of consumer focused administrative support; ensuring equity of access throughout the patient’s journey on the ward and to assist the multidisciplinary team by providing efficient and effective clerical support so as to achieve desired outcomes.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Providing prompt, equitable and accurate customer services in a professional, courteous and helpful manner, ensuring consumer focused standards are continuously maintained.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times in conjunction with Barwon Health’s policy and values.
- Establishing and maintaining effective communication within a multi-disciplinary team.
