Form of workThe South Brisbane Day Hospital at Woolloongabba opened in January 2024with facilities that boast leading edge technologies and state of the art equipment that are housed in the 5 operating theatres and 1 procedure room.
We have an exciting opportunity available for an enthusiastic Wardsperson to join our friendly and hardworking team on a full-time basis.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Upholding a hospitable and friendly environment for all patients
- Work as an active team member to support all work tasks from the operating suite
- Providing a customer focused and efficient transportation service within and outside the operating suite
- Stocking linen and making beds
- Assisting with stock control and unpacking stock and disposal of boxes
- Assist nursing staff with patient related tasks
- Ensure areas are kept clean including floors, walls, shelving and other areas as directed
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in a hospital environment or recently completed Certificate III
- Current First Aid Certificate
- National Criminal History Record Check (or willing to apply for one at interview)
- Willingness to undertake Annual Training (Manual Handling and other core training objectives)
