About Pennant Hills Day Surgery:
Pennant Hills Day Surgery in the northern suburbs of Sydney NSW, is part of the Nexus Hospitals group. Nexus employs over 1600 talented and passionate people across 27 hospitals, as well as 3 support offices.
Pennant Hills Day Surgery is a purpose-built three theatre day surgery with excellent facilities, specialising in Endoscopy/ Colonoscopy, Interventional Pain Management, MOH's Surgery, Oral/ Maxillofacial Surgery and Iron Infusions.
About the Role:
Due to an expansion in services, wonderful opportunities are currently available at Pennant Hills Day Surgery for an experienced Wardsperson/ Theatre Assistant looking to grow their career in a friendly supportive environment.
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs. Imperative to your success in this role will be delivering exceptional clinical outcomes.
We are looking to offer a Permanent Part Time contract to the right candidates.
About You:
You have a ‘can do’ attitude and having an aptitude for taking initiative in a busy working environment.
You will have:
- Solid experience as an orderly within Theatre / Perioperative setting
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of equipment management
- Knowledge of safe manual handling principles and practices
- Knowledge on infection control principles
- Ability to liaise with a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate work to meet patient and customer needs
- Ability to work autonomously in an efficient and effective manner
- A true commitment to delivering high quality patient care
