Our Client
Our client is a food manufacturing business that, for 30 years has specialised in, but is not limited to, producing crumbed chicken products for the local and national market. Located south of the river, they are committed to their people, their products and their customers. Due to significant growth, they are looking for a Warehouse Assistant to add to their team on a full-time basis.
What Your Day May Look Like
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager and working with the other members of the warehousing team, your normal day will involve various warehousing and logistics activities such as moving stock in and out of the warehouse, order picking and packing, assisting in loading and unloading delivery trucks, assisting in updating warehousing records and helping with the organisation of, and general upkeep, of the warehouse, all while following, maintaining and promoting the highest OHS&E standards.
Here's the Specific Duties of This Role:
- Ensuring warehouse operations and OH&S protocols are maintained to the highest standard at all times.
- Stock picking and packing.
- Receiving and dispatching orders.
- Maintaining, cleaning and organising the warehouse and freezer.
- Scheduling and planning logistics for incoming and outgoing stock and orders.
- Assisting with adhoc duties as required by the business.
Who We’re Looking For
Ideally you will have some recent experience working in a warehousing role. The perfect candidate will also have some experience working in a food manufacturing environment. However, our client is happy to train someone who has the right attitude and work ethic. If you’ve got a great attitude and are looking to get into a warehousing role, we want to hear from you. If you enjoy working in a cold environment then this role is for you as a large portion of your day will be spent working in and around freezers.
You’ll Be the Perfect Candidate If You Have / Are:
- Experience in warehousing, preferably in food manufacturing and / or food handling.
- Full Australian working rights with no restrictions is essential.
- Full driver’s license.
- Forklift license.
- Understanding of OHS&E standards.
- Physically fit and able to undertake all duties of the role.
- Punctual and reliable.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Have good communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
- Ability to follow policies, processes and procedures.
