We now have an exciting opportunity to work in a warehouse, for a hard-working warehouse assistance who is looking for an exciting hands-on role, working with a small warehouse team.
This role will be based in Antimony Street, Carole Park, Brisbane.
Position Type: Permanent, Full time Position, Day shift only.
The Role: The Warehouse Assistant will carry out storage and dispatch responsibilities to provide efficient and timely processing of orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack and carry out all warehousing and dispatch responsibilities to provide efficient and timely processing of sales orders.
- Receipt of goods: unloading of trucks, ensuring quantities received are correct and reconcile with delivery papers.
- Dispatch of goods: ensure goods are packaged accurately for dispatch, as well as appropriately loaded on to trucks.
- Ability to operate the Forklift with all the safety measures required.
- Pick and issue items for sales orders and inter-warehouse stock transfers.
- Pack and unpack items for storage and dispatch.
- Responsible for inventory accuracy & item location management.
- Active participation in stock-take and cycle counts.
- Keep warehouse organized, maintained, clean, tidy and safe.
- Maintain the forklift equipment and ensuring a safe working condition.
Tertiary Qualifications & Industry Accreditations:
- Completion of year 12; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have warehouse experience within the manufacturing industry.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Atleast 2+ years' experience in a similar role in logistics and/or a warehouse environment.
- A current Forklift license.
- A police clearance certificate(or willing to apply for)
- Physically fit/ability to safely lift heavy objects
- Experience in using warehouse machinery and ensuring health and safety standards are met in relation to warehouse operations.
- Working knowledge of safe operating procedures.
