Job Title: Warehouse assistant

Reports to: Distribution Team Leader 

Group / Division: PSG / Drug Substance division

Position Location: Brisbane, Australia

Position Summary:

This job handles Inbound and outbound activities in the warehouse, material movement to departments, stock takes, reconciliation and sampling activities as well as providing back-up support to both the Warehouse Coordinator and Procurement Team Lead when they are away or on annual leave.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks-

Operational material management

Process incoming and outbound goods.

Load and unload deliveries, check off delivery dockets and complete records.

Un-stack vendor pallets and stack material onto internal pallet.

Packaging for outbound shipments.

Put-away material to designated storage locations.

Pick as per request from departments or picking list.

Sampling of raw materials.

Co-operate in other logistic activities

Responding and acting to alarms - BMS

Handle goods flows

Handle upgrades and or expansion programs of the materials management processes.

Ensure cGMP storage and flow of (raw) materials

Maintain

Order and timing of inbound / outbound activities.

Maintain high inventory accuracy and cycle count as required.

Housekeeping and cleanliness of warehouse and equipment.

Physical systems and tools for goods flow processing.

Daily warehouse equipment checks and maintain logbook.

Maintain excellent customer service – internally and for when dealing with suppliers/transportation companies.

Shipments

Supporting all shipments

Assisting in driving company trucks when required

Procurement

Support procurement activities as and when required

Projects

Collaboration in special projects when needed

Responsibilities-

• Accurate, complete, timely and consistent administration of all material movement related processes to cGMP standards!
• Execution of specific EH&S tasks.
• Maintain safety, security and housekeeping standards.
• Cycle counts as per SOP requirement.
• Participate in warehouse PPI activities

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications-

Qualifications & Experience

• Warehouse certification or similar.
• SAP (or other ERP) system experience.
• GDP (Good Distribution practice) and GMP
• Inventory and materials management experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing facility.
• Valid Forklift and MR Truck License

Other Important Information

• Activities within the warehouse department need to be done in line with EH&S and cGMP policies along with a high degree of work scheduling and prioritization of job tasks.

Conform to EH&S processes and ensure a safe and balanced workplace environment. Work safely and only perform tasks if currently proficient and / or authorized. Report hazardous conditions, hazardous actions, incidents and near-miss incidents. Participate in EH&S activities (such as inspections and risk assessments) as advocated.
