SHAS Projects is currently seeking an organised and motivated individual to join our team in a Warehouse Support role that involves both operations and project management. This position provides an opportunity to apply your technical skills, project coordination abilities and interpersonal talents to the petroleum fuel industry.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Warehouse and Workshop Responsibilities:
- Warehouse Organisation: Improve warehouse operations by efficiently arranging storage and managing storage requirements to optimise space utilisation and enhance overall warehouse functionality and workflow.
- Inventory Management: Take on key responsibilities for inventory control, including careful monitoring, procurement and coordination of receipts in collaboration with management.
- Sales Order Handling: Create and manage direct sales orders for products either in stock or pending purchase, ensuring accuracy and prompt processing.
- Documentation Management: Handle documentation accurately for both incoming and outgoing paperwork, including thorough document reconciliation.
- Equipment Management: Ensure that all warehouse equipment is properly stored and available to tradespeople as needed. This involves maintaining organised storage arrangements and ensuring accessibility for relevant tradespeople when required.
- Customer Service: Work closely with customers, suppliers and freight companies to coordinate shipments and ensure smooth operations.
Service Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction: Handle customer calls and inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.
- Sales Record Keeping: Create and maintain sales records in MYOB or other relevant software.
- Invoicing Support: Upon job completion, forward relevant information to the accounts department, including material purchases to facilitate invoicing.
- Customer Relations: Maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing their needs and concerns effectively.
General:
For this position, proficiency in using MYOB systems for transactions is required and training will be provided as necessary. You will also offer logistical support for various projects, assisting in planning and coordination. Good interpersonal skills are important for working with team members and clients. Safety and efficiency are top priorities, so being vigilant in identifying and addressing risks is essential. Effective communication, both written and verbal, plays a key role in our operations to ensure informed decisions and smooth cooperation.
