We have an exciting opportunity for passionate and motivated individuals to join Civic Disability Services in the position of Warehouse Crew Leader / Truck Driverto realise the potential of Civic’s supported employment business units. There are both full time and part time opportunities available.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Civic Industries is a supported employment workplace where you will be working alongside employees with a disability to support them in fulfilling their professional goals. As a Warehouse Crew Leader you are proud of being a hands on person with a can do attitude to complete tasks assigned, while taking a person-centred approach, demonstrating empathy and patience with colleagues and supported employees.
As a Crew Leader you will be responsible for:
- Supervising, motivating and encouraging a small team of supported employees
- Ensuring product quality meets standards and liaising with management to ensure deadlines are met
- Implementing strategies to provide supported employees with relevant work skills/knowledge with the aim of further developing independence, decision making and relevant life skills
- Tailoring the support you offer to create opportunities for success and personal goal achievement
- Working alongside supported employees on a production line setting
- Taking part of projects and assignments offsite including driving small truck
ABOUT YOU
Successful candidates will possess the following:
- 1 years’ experience in warehousing, production, disability support or health care is a must. Experience across both areas is highly regarded.
- A forklift licence would be highly beneficial.
- A valid NSW driver’s licence
- Ability to drive a small truck
- A natural curiosity and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to tailor the support you provide to supported employees to further their work skills development and facilitate achievement of personal goals.
- Excellent listening, comprehension and communication skills alongside the ability to recognise/interpret non-verbal cues.
- Great collaboration / team-work skills and the ability to navigate basic systems.

- NDIS Worker Check
- Working With Children Check
- National Criminal History check
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence
- First Aid Certificate
- Two professional references
- Right to work in Australia
