The role has broad responsibility for the operation of the warehouse.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Provide supervision, management, and direction to warehouse team to ensure effective, safe operation of the warehouse
Drive continuous warehouse efficiency improvements including time management of the warehouse team in all elements of receival and dispatch on a daily basis.
• Manage and monitor customer delivery contractor operations whilst maintaining Radaro
- Monitor DIFOT and report any discrepancies
- Manage stock integrity including goods receiving and dispatch accuracy
- Provide assistance for customer collects and assist loading of stock where required
- Maintain stock locations for Melbourne Fulfilment Centre
- Provide supervision and support for warehouse administration team member (s)
- Manage warehouse rostering system to ensure there are enough team members allocated to meet demand and WHS requirements
- Monitor absenteeism and allocate team members as required
- Train and induct new team members
- Manage the completion of weekly cyclical stocktakes
- Prepare and execute annual Development plans
- Assist in maintaining a clean worksite both internal and external – e.g., scrap metal bin, polystyrene bags etc
- Other duties as required from time to time
- Focus on WHS
- Ensure compliance with all workplace safety, health and environmental requirements
- Immediate recording/reporting of Near Misses/Hazards to Head of Warehousing and Logistics (both verbally and using correct forms as required / relevant)
- Conduct, record, and file weekly Toolbox Talks and monthly Warehouse Checklists as per requirement.
- Advise and follow up on Mobile Plant servicing and maintenance
- Confirm the recording of Mobile Plant pre-start checklists
- Adhere to safe work practices outlined in Employee Handbook and SOP register
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years cross industry experience in project roll outs and implementation, exception reporting and driving outcomes in Warehouse and Freight management – retail or wholesale experience preferred.
- A high degree of contact with external and internal stake holders
- Be experienced & organized, with the ability to prioritize and delegate work and show progress on many issues at the same time
- Professional verbal & written communication skills
- Be able to work with a high degree of accuracy and meet deadlines
- Advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- To participate as an integral team member and be willing to assist elsewhere in the business
