Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role has prime responsibility for cost effective and efficient execution of the production plan, while meeting all safety, quality standards and requirements.
The Production Manager leads 4 production teams operating 24/7, comprising of 4 direct reports and 28 indirect reports.Job Description:About the Role

- Ensure all safety, legal and quality requirements are adhered to including the reporting of incidents and resolution of investigations
- Operational Expenditure management to the defined budget including direct and indirect labour, consumables and other fixed or variable operational costs
- Foster an interdependent safety culture where team members take collective responsibility for the wellbeing of themselves and others
- Tertiary qualifications in Manufacturing or a relevant discipline desirable
- Minimum 5+ years' experience managing production activities
- Agility to thrive in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities
- Experience in Operational Excellence practices and/or LEAN 6 Sigma
- Effective and proven team engagement and cultural change abilities
- Proven experience driving a high safety and quality culture
- Stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
