The Role

The ideal candidate will be hungry to take the next steps in their warehouse operations career, having previously spent time learning the ropes in a warehouse environment. Your primary responsibility will be the ownership of the warehouse - assisting in the effective management of the Loco Love spaces across inventory (raw materials and finished goods), packaging, inbound and outbound logistics, safety and continual improvement of day-to-day operational processes.

You'll be working closely with the Dispatch Manager to ensure stock is managed effectively, following relevant stock rotation rules and employing a high level of organisation and efficiency within the warehouse space.

Additionally, you'll be working with the Operations Manager to assist with a wide variety of tasks required in the day-to-day business operations, from inventory management, production administration, inventory forecasting, procurement and supplier relations, reporting and general process improvement.

Direct operations experience is not required - we are looking for somebody hungry for new knowledge, skills, challenges and growth - and we're committed to fostering an environment where you can develop and contribute under the guidance of our experienced team. 

This role is full-time, based out of our brand new Byron Bay HQ.

• 2+ years in a warehouse role, preferably in the manufacturing and/or food industry
• Inventory management systems experience
• Experience with other eCommerce and logistics platforms such as Shopify and Starshippit highly regarded
• Forklift and/or pallet stacking licence/experience
• Valid full Australian drivers licence
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety processes
• Strong computer literacy and experience with G-suite, and in particular Google Sheets
• Continued training and exposure to all manner of daily operations will be provided to the right candidate

• Oversee the organisation of the warehouse space, ensuring raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods are stored and rotated efficiently and accurately, following FIFO principles.
• Implement sound inventory management policies while leading and training the Loco Love team on following processes. 
• Transport stock between warehouses and accurately recording movements in the inventory system.
• Assist Operations and Production Managers in raw material forecasting, demand planning and purchasing.
• Working closely with the Operations Manager to learn, assist and drive improvement across all areas of the day-to-day business operations.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and assist in designing and implementing strategic changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Other duties in the warehouse and production as required.
• The role involves physical tasks, such as lifting boxes up to 25kg.
