Role:
We are looking for a Warehouse Operator / Order Picker at our NDC to take responsibility for the picking of part pallets, either separate full layers of one product or mixed products.
Responsibilities:
- Operation of a pallet jack/forklift including pre-operational checks to be carried out as required by fork track.
- RF Scanning
- Pallets picked for customer orders to be free of damaged cartons and of stable pallet build. All un-even pallets must have a top cover applied.
- Pallet flags (pallet identifier) to be applied to finished pallets showing correct route, stage, customer and destination.
- Carton per hour rate to be achieved as per target determined by the business.
- Container work - hand loading and hand unloading and providing assistance to the slip sheeter as required.
- Reporting of relevant safety, environmental hazards, incidents, near misses by notifying Area leader or completion of paper copy EHS form
- Ensure that all downtime reported.
- Involvement in any HGPS & QRMP related activities and practices
- Reporting of Blue Sky ideas
- Cleaning of equipment at required intervals.
- Cleaning of work area in downtime to required quality standard (5S)
- Identification and removal of damaged/leaking product from pallets
- Reworking of damaged pallets, re stacking pallets or other remedial tasks as required.
- Any other duties as determined by business needs at the time.
Skills:
- Excellent Time Management and Problem-Solving Skills
- Adequate literacy/numeracy skills
- Attention to detail.
- Forklift Ticket desired but not required.
- Cert Ill or above qualified in Warehousing Operations desired
- High Volume warehousing experience or a desire to learn and grow a career in Warehousing.
