Leading the processes of goods receiving, storage and despatch of goods within the warehouse in an accurate, safe, efficient, and secure manner as described by the warehouse day to management processes set by the (HoWL)and any other relevant requirements as may be advised from time to time. Achieve and maintain accuracy of physical stock and system data accuracy. Reports to the Head of Warehousing & Logistics movements
Duties include:
- Accurate receival of goods and immediate put away of goods once booked in and labels printed.
- Assist / Accompany driver with in-home deliveries if required.
- Assist in maintaining a clean worksite both internal and external – eg: scrap metal pallets, carboard and general waste bins.
- Other duties as required from time to time.
- Maintain courier communication re: booking in of trucks, claim collections and customer deliveries.
- Maintain accurate labelling of stock.
- Maintain accurate stock picking.
- Check off daily manifests in preparation for next day’s deliveries.
- Assist and monitor loading of customer delivery trucks.
- Prepare stock for customer collects and assist loading of stock where required.
- Provide assistance and updates on stock checks for sales staff and advise accordingly.
- Maintain stock locations for Launceston warehouse.
- Assist with supplier return process.
- Assist with weekly cyclical stocktakes.
NB – all items that cannot be processed / actioned within proscribed time frames must be escalated to the HoWL or their nominated delegate
WHS
- Previous forklift experience with current LF/LO tickets
- Enforce, Support and follow up the warehouse WH&S standards and emergency procedures.
- Immediate reporting of Near Misses/Hazards/Incidents to management
- Participate and leadership of and in regular Toolbox Talks
- Adhere to safe work practices as outlined in Employee Handbook
