An exciting opportunity to be a part of our thriving and successful international company exists in our Timberwood Dandenong South branch for a highly motivated and reliable Storeperson.
Your Role
Your role as our Storeperson is to provide ensure orders are picked, packed and loaded onto trucks safely. This includes checking paperwork, cross checking stock to ensure it’s correct and communicating with the distribution manager if there are any issues.
Being an integral part of the distribution and warehousing team, you will be both efficient and accurate in picking orders, liaise with your manager in regard to damaged stock or stock shortages. You will be required to retain a forklift license and keep it up to date.
What you’ll need
- Previous experience in warehousing preferred
- Maintaining a valid forklift license is essential
- HR/MR truck license advantageous
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Professional and friendly demeanor
- Strong attention to detail: able to pick correct products and cross check
- Ability to follow and comply with company policies and procedures
- Strong time management and reliability
- Able to pick, load and unload trucks safely and with minimal stock damage
- Can manage and prioritise jobs when necessary
- Compliant with all workplace health and safety policies
- Be physically fit and able to perform some manual handling tasks when required
