Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee and coordinate daily warehouse, stock management and local freight activities. As our Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient handling of goods, accurate inventory management, and effective team leadership. Your goal is to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed performance expectations, contributing to the company’s overall success.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of OHS legislation, and safe work practices in a warehouse environment.
- Providing leadership and direction to a small and efficient warehouse team under the guidance of our Operations Manager.
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction by:
- Excelling in receiving, identifying, packaging and dispatching goods.
- Ensuring the quality of goods meets standards.
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.
- Organise and maintain inventory and storage areas with a focus on stock level accuracy.
- Ensure accuracy in shipments and inventory transactions.
- Communicate job expectations and provide coaching to employees.
- Determine staffing levels and assign workloads.
- Interface with customers to address inquiries and resolve issues.
- Maintain records of items and utilise reports to track warehouse status.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement innovative work procedures to continual quality and efficiency metrics.
- Manage accurate inventory records and oversee stock control procedures to minimise discrepancies.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight in a cost efficient manner to meet and exceed agreed delivery dates.
- Collaborate with the management team in assessing new technologies or systems that can enhance efficiency.
- Drive and ensure compliance with HVL Chain of Responsibility (COR) regulations.
- Always ensuring that the exacting APS packaging standards are met to exceed our customers expectations.
Requirements and Skills
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor.
- Highly effective supervisory skills and techniques.
- Experience of using WMS’, ERP’s and MS Office.
- Ability to input, retrieve, and analyse data.
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- Licensed and proficient forklift operator
- Standard hours are Mon - Fri, 8am to 4pm.
