Job tasks but not limited to the following -
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will:
- Ensure all products are picked on time, within specification
- Liaise with the Operations Manager to create schedules and organise staffing levels to achieve required customer outcomes
- Ensure team members are fully informed and trained against SOPs
- Monitor labour efficiency and targets, escalate performance and deliver agreed resolutions
- Ensure quality requirements are met and adhered to
- Ensure team complete safety checks and implement improvements to maintain a safe and tidy working environment
- Communicate delays and resolution actions daily to Operations Manager
- Ensure that warehousing equipment is in good working order, maintained, and available as required.
- Carry out stock-taking activities as required, and ensure inventory is accurate at all times
- Proactive leadership
- Ensure ERP is correctly maintained and warehousing tasks are completed in a timely manner
- Ensure outwards goods are correctly booked for transfer
- Positively and constructively challenge the current processes to eliminate any non-value-added steps
- Implement waste reduction initiatives
- Contribution to team motivation by being a professional and encouraging team member
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- Solid warehousing and stores experience
- Forklift and relevant driver licencing
- Clean and safe driving record
- Experience working with ERP and stock systems
- A strong understanding of a warehouse environment and key supply chain principles
- A good understanding of Lean and 5S systems
- Ability to plan and organise workloads effectively
- Attention to detail, with focus on understanding numerical detail and spotting errors
- Anticipation and ability to plan ahead
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with internal and external customers using a professional yet approachable style
- Strong communication skills and the ability to understand the updates required by all the parties involved in a work process
- Ability to work with and contribute to a team, developing co-operative working relationship with employees at all levels
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A willing and positive attitude with a demonstrated ability to actively contribute to a proactive work and team environment
- Demonstrated ability to identify and deal with issues proactively, and to seize opportunities for improvement
- Take ownership of your responsibilities, while understanding your limitations and when direction/advise/approval is required
- Able to earns and maintain the trust of stakeholders and ensuring that the organisations interests are put first
