About the role:
We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor at our Coppabella/Moorvale mines. Our Coppabella Moorvale mine complex consists of three (3) open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometers southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverised coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.
Reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, the scope of your role is to coordinate all warehousing functions for the company and site; in a timely and effective manner ensuring all such activities are carried out in accordance with company and site policies and procedures.
Duties will include:
· Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships, both internally and externally, through positive and effective communication
· Manage, influence, and empower the Warehouse team to provide a safe and effective warehouse operation
· Establish, maintain, and promote high standards of customer service to internal and external stakeholders
· Lead, coach and develop team members by setting clear expectations and goals on warehouse process' & best practice
· Allocation and distribution of warehouse tasks and responsibilities to the warehouse team
· Provide day-to-day direction to the team to ensure delivery against plan, ensuring service levels are in accordance with Operational needs and expectations
· Management of Warehouse SOX Compliance and Operational KPI's
· Management of cycle count program to ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained
· Routine management of Rotable and Repairable materials to ensure optimal critical stock availability
· Management of all inbound and outbound freight requirements (General, Emergency and Heavy Haulage)
· Timely management of warehouse workflow, ensuring timely payment of invoices in accordance with payment terms
· Performance management of direct reports to promote and maintain a highly effective team
· Management of roster and annual leave to ensure optimal coverage of warehouse
The lifestyle:
This position is offered on a 7 on and 7 off roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.
About you:
· 4 or more years of experience in a purchasing role within the resources or heavy industry sectors
· 5 to 10 years of warehouse, logistics experience within the resources or heavy industry sectors
· 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience within the resources or heavy industry sectors
· Mining Supervisor Certification (S1, S2, S3)
· Advanced computer skills
· Cert lV in Transport and Distribution (Warehousing and Storage)
· Forklift License
