As the Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll be hands-on while coordinating the day-to-day warehouse operations and support a small team of two to ensure site goals are achieved safely and on time.
The primary purpose of the role is to supervise and assign warehouse operational tasks including receipting of inbound goods, putting away of inventory, order picking, customer order packing, freight consignment of goods to customers. Your key objective will be to deliver safety, service, and operational excellence to meet and exceed the business and our customer requirements.
Your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- An understanding and ability to adhere to our HSE responsibilities and to champion safe work practices and ensure your team do too
- Lead, motivate, develop and coach employees to be their best
- Ensure all employees are inducted, trained and adhere to Blackwoods values
- Comply with all SOP’s and Work Instructions as directed and trained
- Support and implement business continuous improvement initiatives to drive improve operational results and within the team
To be successful, you will have:
- Forklift and driver's license (must)
- Problem solver and think outside the box
- Must have effective oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated previous experience with leadership of teams or workgroups in an operational environment
- Action driven individual that strives to deliver results
