The Warehouse Team Leader will have the following responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of the warehouse and manufacturing activities to ensure the business needs are met.
- "Hands-on" role managing a small team in a warehouse and manufacturing facility.
- Cross-trained to fill in and cover staff, when necessary, in all areas of the operation.
- Act as the liaison with management, operations, customer service, production, and sales to ensure smooth warehousing systems operation.
- Monitor safety and environmental systems to ensure compliance with company and government standards.
- Monitor plant reliability, identifying and reporting faults or breakdowns in plant or machinery.
- Conduct cycle counts, stock takes, and audits as necessary.
- Achieve transportation of stock to customers to guarantee in full and on-time deliveries.
- Monitor and manage DIFOT (Delivery In Full, On Time) performance.
The successful candidate for the Warehouse Team Leader role will ideally have the following key skills and qualities:
- Previous leadership experience is essential
- Background in warehousing / distribution
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to follow written processes and procedures.
- Excellent work ethic and a can-do attitude.
- Organized and self-motivated.
