Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior MIG Welder to join our team as a supervisor. As a Senior MIG Welder Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing welding operations across various sites in Western Sydney. Your responsibilities will include managing a high-performing team of site installers, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and Lead:
  Manage a team of site installers, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
• Hands-On Expertise:
  While primarily a supervisory role, you'll occasionally need to jump on tools to assist with welding tasks.
• Quality Assurance:
  Inspect welds for strength and accuracy during and after the welding process.
• Blueprint Interpretation:
  Read and interpret blueprints to guide welding operations.
• Material Selection:
  Select appropriate metals and materials for welding projects.
• Safety Compliance:
  Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times.
• Equipment Maintenance:
  Regularly inspect and maintain welding equipment and tools.
• Problem-Solving:
  Diagnose issues and troubleshoot welding-related problems.
• Collaboration:
  Liaise with line managers and report any issues or suggest improvements.

Requirements:

• Education:
  High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification:
  Completed apprenticeship or vocational training in welding.
• Experience:
  Proven experience as a MIG welder.
• Physical Strength:
  Excellent stamina, strength, and dexterity.
• Safety Awareness:
  Sound understanding of welding safety protocols.
• Teaching Skills:
  Ability to mentor and train welding apprentices.
• Flexibility:
  Willingness to learn and work overtime when required.
