About the role:
We are currently seeking an Experienced Warehouse Technician to join our Coppabella mine site. Our Coppabella Moorvale joint Venture complex consists of 3 open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometers southwest of Mackay that produce premium low-volatile pulverised coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the scope of your role is to conduct all warehousing functions for the site; in a timely effective manner ensuring all such activities are carried out in accordance with company and site policies and procedures.

Duties will include:

  • Providing practical input into the content of all short and long term maintenance plans
  • Provide day-to-day direction to the team to ensure delivery against plans; Ensure service level is in line with Operational needs and expectations
  • Routine management off cycle count program to ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained and SOX compliance is achieved
  • Routine management of Rotable and Repairable materials to ensure optimal stock availability
  • Perform core function associated with routine running of the warehouse as required; e.g. Receipt, Dispatch, Reservation Management etc
  • Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and provide constructive feedback to peers on a regular basis

The lifestyle:

This position is offered on a 7/7 day/night roster on 12.5 hour shifts and can allow residential, DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.

About you:

  • Proactive approach to safety and safety management
  • Current motor vehicle driver's license;
  • Forklift license
  • Familiar using ERP system (SAP preferred) with basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
  • Previous experience in maintenance warehousing
  • Certificate III in transport and distribution (desirable);
  • Manage inventory, items and disposal management activities in accordance with Peabody policies
  • Ability to prioritise work during peak periods in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written
  • Provide a high level of customer service
  • Reliable Self-Starter
