About the role
The role will be based between our Lonsdale and Clarence Gardens sites
Experience and Pre-Requisites
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Comply with all safety directions and keep yourself and others safe in the workplace in accordance with company procedures and rules.
- As a Store person you are expected to perform the duties as directed consistent with maintaining the accuracy of goods in and out and to maintaining the store in a tidy fashion.
- Treat in-coming goods as per appropriate procedures.
- Treat out-going goods as per appropriate procedures.
- Managing Cable stocks (inwards & outwards goods) and cable cuts.
- Accurate and timely invoicing and dispatch of all due orders able to be filled from available stock on hand.
- Maintaining accurate bin locations for all products both on the store shelves and matching records in the Company Software.
- Liaise with Internal Sales, Purchasing and Administration on matters where necessary and ensure accurate information is communicated in a timely fashion.
- Maintain good working relationships with freight forwarders representative where contact is undertaken in the normal course of duties.
- Aim to maximise customer service in the performance of day-to-day duties.
- Maintain a level of housekeeping within the store area to obtain a clean and safe working environment.
- Maintain a level of housekeeping on the outside of the building to obtain a neat and tidy appearance.
- Maintaining a skill level sufficient to carry out tasks.
- Complying with company policies and procedures as published from time to time.
- Data entry on a computer as required.
- Liaise with interstate branch staff in all matters of stock delivery queries.
- Conduct cycle counting of stock on a regular systematic basis.
- Conduct stock takes in conjunction with other staff as directed by Administration.
- Ensure rubbish bins are put out for collection weekly.
- Check warehouse grounds weekly and dispose of rubbish as required.
- Other duties as directed.

Knowledge and Skills
- Industry or similar job experience.
- Familiarity with basic store procedures and processes.
- Familiarity with basic office equipment.
- Comfortable using an PC for the purposes of managing a store.
- Forklift License

Other Information & Comments
You are expected to wear a certain standard of clothing suitable for store work. No open footwear or shoes without socks, no t-shirts without collars and tops must be of a plain style. Staff are expected to keep their workplace in a neat and tidy state.
