Hamilton Island is currently looking for a Waste and Recycling Attendant to work as part of the busy Public Facilities department on a full time permanent basis.
The successful person will be responsible for operating the garbage collection and hook trucks, both for general Waste and Recycling materials, compaction of general waste in bins and generally improving the recycling and waste management on Hamilton Island.

Your Role
- Ensure the safe operation of garbage collection vehicles and bins around the island
- Operation of loader and forklift
- Liaise with island departments to ensure correct delivery to all locations
- Paperwork and administrative tasks
- Operate glass crushing plant, baler and oil separator
About You
You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You will also have:
- Current MR, HR or HC licence, and forklift ticket
- Previous experience in transport with a sound driving record
