Join our Waste and Resource Recovery Department in this newly redesigned role.
In this role, you will lead cross-departmental, stakeholder and community collaboration, in the developing and delivery of Waste Projects and services..
What you will do
- Lead the planning, monitoring and delivery of a range of projects and services
- Engage the community, stakeholders and colleagues in the effective planning and delivery of projects
- Assist in preparing project budgets, monitor project expenditure and report on variances
- Contribute to the testing, development, integration, and implementation of IT systems related to the waste collection service and the broader organisational enterprise solution
- Degree or diploma in a relevant field such as project management
- Demonstrated experience in project planning, management and delivery
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining, analysing, interpreting, presenting and reporting on data
- Understanding of waste services in the context of local government (desirable)
- Experience in managing consultants
- Excellent customer service both internal and external to the organisation
- Written and oral communication skills and the ability to write reports, present data and prepare various correspondence, including the ability to present at public or committee meetings
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
- A continuous improvement mindset with a positive, proactive, and flexible attitude
