Provide your technical expertise within the Northwest Region.
As the Technical Advisor – Wastewater Quality, you will be responsible for coordinating regional compliance with regulatory requirements related to wastewater, biosolids disposal and reuse. You will support the optimisation of regional wastewater treatment plants and coordinate the provision of specialist support from the Corporation’s Wastewater Process Expertise Group.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in our Karratha Regional office.
In this role you will:
· Ensure quality assurance is undertaken for our wastewater and reuse schemes. For instance, ensuring meters are tested and accurate, or responding to alerts and violations in terms of our quality of wastewater.

· Play a vital role in protecting our brand’s reputation, which protects the communities of the Northwest Region.
· Represent us through stakeholder engagement, having regular dealings with local government bodies and managing shires relating to reuse schemes.
· Provide input into projects, ensuring we are getting best fit for purpose assets.
· Have the technical experience and knowledge to understand what is best required for our region.

What the role will offer:
· Develop and implement relevant monitoring programs.
· Investigation of non-compliances and coordination of remedial actions
· Managing the Wastewater Quality Management System (WWQMS & WWMS)
· Support the annual environmental reporting process (AER/AACR)
· Identify and develop opportunities for wastewater and bio solids reuse.
· Coordination of the development and implementation of wastewater and bio solids reuse agreements.
· Support annual reporting by users of reuse water to the Department of Health
· Monitor the performance of Regional WWTP’s and review results for data integrity, variances, and trends.
What’s on offer?
· Base salary of $112,195 + super
· Location allowance paid fortnightly as an allowance ($12,865 to $25,730 annually)
· Leave loading of 17.5%
· Air-conditioning subsidies up to $2,572 annually
· Additional 5 days annual leave after one year of service as stated in the 2023 Enterprise Agreement

Key skills and experience:
· Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as environmental science, science, engineering, or natural resource management and/or
· Considerable experience in wastewater management, particularly environmental impacts associated with wastewater and bio solids disposal and reuse.
· C Class driving licence
· Substantial experience in wastewater management
· Considerable experience in the delivery of water and wastewater services in a regulated environment
