Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for executing projects, managing operations, and planning mine activities related to surface water and water systems infrastructure.
- Enhance awareness of flood risks and manage surface water effectively by organizing wet season preparedness efforts among various stakeholders.
- Perform detailed technical analyses to support new mining studies, focusing on hydrology and hydraulic modeling.
- Work closely with diverse teams to ensure project goals are achieved throughout different stages of development.
- Develop materials for stakeholder consultations and actively participate in on-site investigations and monitoring programs.
- Cultivate collaborative relationships and contribute to knowledge-building initiatives within the team.
Key Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
- Have at least 3 years of pertinent experience.
- Proficiently utilize flood modeling software and GIS tools.
- Demonstrate strong report writing abilities and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Possess a thorough understanding of catchment hydrology, river hydraulics, and flood modeling.
- Possess a valid Australian Driver's License.
- Familiarity with surface water management approvals in Adelaide is preferred.
- Experience in implementing surface water monitoring programs and conducting field investigations.
- Knowledge of water infrastructure systems, including pipes and pump design, is advantageous.
