About the Opportunity

To help us achieve this we are seeking a Water and Sewer Development Planning Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will act as Council's principle point of contact for all development matters relating to the provision of water supply and Sewerage services. The incumbent will also be responsible for policy development, specification and standards review, capital and operational works management.
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience within the Utilities industry.
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working within or implementing legislative requirements.
On a typical day this role will:
- Provide technical comment and conditions of approval for development proposals in respect to the provision of water supply and Sewerage facilities
- Attend pre-lodgement meetings and provide comments on proposed developments with respect to the provision of water supply and Sewerage facilities
- Provide advice to external stakeholders on Council requirements with respect to the interpretation of design and construction requirements of Aus-Spec and Council's policies and procedures
- Prepare information of water supply and Sewerage schemes for community consultation purposes
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent 35 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): In the range of $97,572 to $109,818 depending on skills and experience.
Allowances: Civil Liability Allowance 3.5%
This role also qualifies for Leaseback or Vehicle allowances.
