We are a national group who work as one team to deliver projects collaboratively across Australia. You will work with ELA's hydrology group, other water scientists (hydrogeologists, aquatic ecologists, geochemists, water policy specialists), and ELA's range of scientists, to inform environmental outcomes for our clients.Our national delivery approach allows for recruiting in multiple locations and at many experience levels. We are seeking motivated Consultants, Senior Consultants, and Associate Consultants to join our Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Newcastle, and Sydney Offices. We work across multiple sectors such as renewable energy, resources, infrastructure, natural resource management, and sustainability.Depending on your level of experience and career objectives. key responsibilities are likely to include:
- Undertaking surface water investigations, flood studies, water balance modelling, stormwater drainage modelling, and associated technical reporting.
- Liaise with clients, regulators, and/or internal and external project teams.
- Collect, compile, present and evaluate/analyse hydrologic and hydraulic data.
- Three years (Consultant level) to 10+ (Senior and Associate level) years' experience, specifically in hydrology and hydraulic modelling.
- Thorough working knowledge of Australian Rainfall and Runoff Guidelines (ARR 2019).
- Ability to set up and run RORB and TUFLOW models in accordance with ARR 2019.
- Working knowledge of GIS software including ArcGIS or QGIS, and the relevant plug-ins for pre- and post-processing of RORB and TUFLOW model data and results.
- Experience in the preparation of technical reports on hydrology and hydraulic assessments.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrate a desire for learning new skills and professional development.
- Is a strong communicator - both written and verbal.
- Has excellent project management skills and a keen eye for detail.
