Salary Range: $95,746 - $109,072 (PN: 51568)
WorkSafe ACT is a fully independent office headed by the WHS Commissioner. WorkSafe ACT achieves its objectives through a combination of compliance and enforcement, awareness raising, education, inspection, and investigation. It is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance by duty holders in accordance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (WHS Act) and associated legislation for Workers’ Compensation and Labour Hire Licensing.
We have a temporary vacancy available for an imaginative and organised communications professional to join our Media and Communications team as a Web and Digital Officer! Our team operates within the Specialist Operations, Capability, and Communications Section at WorkSafe ACT. This dynamic team encompasses various disciplines, including strategic communications, capability, coaching and systems, occupational hygiene, psychosocial strategy, and operations.
As the Web and Digital Officer, you will play a pivotal role in managing both internal and external communications for WorkSafe ACT. Your responsibilities include supporting media engagement, handling inbox monitoring, and addressing media inquiries. Additionally, you will contribute to event management, social media coordination, and strategic communication campaigns.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Relevant qualifications in website, online production, or related fields are highly desirable.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for six months with possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. A merit pool may be established from this selection process and may be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position is in a new workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
