Working for a government department in Canberra. The Department is building a multidisciplinary Digital Experience team to create client-centred content for their new website. The team will work with business areas to refine existing content and develop new Web Content in line with their content guidelines.
The Web Content Editor responsibilities include:
- create, edit and clear Web Content
- explain complex information and concepts in a clear and concise way
- write in plain English and follow accessibility guidelines
- meet publication standards and establish goals and expectations
- offer advice around content design and information architecture
- guide and support less experienced staff members
- engage with multiple stakeholders and prioritise tasks
- work to deadlines
Essential criteria
Weighting
- Demonstrated ability to create, edit and clear Web Content in line with DTA and internal writing guidelines 60%
- Ability to offer advice around content design and information architecture 20%
- Ability to communicate with influence by negotiating confidently, listening to and adapting to feedback, and communicating clearly, including cultivating productive internal and external working relationships 10%
- Ability to work as part of a team and support the development of other team members to embed knowledge and skills 10%
Desirable criteria
- Experience with virtual assistant/chatbot content and management
