Gabbinbar Homestead is a beautiful, heritage-listed estate located within the thriving regional city of Toowoomba. Awarded Queensland Caterer of the Year in 2018 and 2019 by The Restaurant and Catering Association. Each week we host destination weddings from across Australia.
Setup Crew
We are currently looking for casual Setup Crew staff to join our existing team, you will be responsible for the set up of event equipment and furniture, linen on tables and ironing, and other activities on the day of an event. This role is responsible for making any person arriving at Gabbinbar Homestead to feel welcome at all times.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Greet any guests and vendors to make them feel welcome on their arrival.
- Setup of all furniture, equipment and decorations as instructed.
- Linen set on tables and ironed to a high level.
- General cleaning duties.
- Set ceremony, garden party and reception locations as instructed.
- Adhoc support to Set Planner and various tasks.
- Work with other servers and be a team player.
- Report to management with any guest and maintenance issues immediately.
- Demonstrate Gabbinbar Homestead core values.
Required Skills
- Able to prioritise work duties to meet deadlines.
- Have attention to detail.
- Have good communication skills.
- Reliable and hardworking.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
Due to the nature of weddings and events, the role requires physical labour, weekend and out of hours work, along with long shifts on the day of weddings or events.
