AddressProgrammed Skilled Workforce has a great opportunity for a Weighbridge Operator leading into Oil Terminal responsibilities with one of our large national clients located in Kooragang.
Roster:
- 5.00am to 1.00pm initially
- subject to change depending on requirements
- Monday to Friday
About your new role:
Weighbridge responsibilities:
- Weighing and documentation of all site vehicles.
- Familiar with the bailey, delta V and weigh master computer systems.
- Understanding of the chain of responsibility within the transport industry
- Inspection of incoming meal trucks for cleanliness and seals being intact on oil trucks.
- Sampling and testing of incoming seed trucks (GM testing, density and moisture)
- Assist, where necessary, truck drivers in oil and meal loadout.
- Issue of sample containers for all outgoing loads
- Liaise with all departments regarding truck movements (inc. CASC Supply Chain Teams)
- Induction of new truck drivers (inducting as required) and ensuring drivers are complying to site safety and PPE standards
- Troubleshooting problems in the seed receival, elevator and meal loadout areas.
- Housekeeping of weighbridge and surrounding areas
Oil terminal responsibilities
- Recording and dipping of tanks, calculating transfer amount and cutting off tanks for vessels.
- Liaising with the oil load out / WEIGHBRIDGE OPERATORs when transferring oil from plant and terminal
- Liaise with all departments regarding vessels, surveyors, port of Newcastle , stevedores, shipping agent, contractors
- Ensuring manifolds / discharge plans are checked prior to vessel arrival, also connection of hoses at berth.
- Complete pre shipping checks before vessels arrive
- Understanding the tank farm layout, including piping, pumps and valves.
- Tank transfers -Transferring different oil products to crush / refinery and operating the pig system.
- Loading and unloading oil trucks and containers
- Understanding and operating boilers and closed water loop
- Working shift work to suit vessel requirements or transfer requirements between terminal and plant
- General site maintenance and Tank cleaning
About you:
- Previous experience in weighbridge operations essential
- Oil terminal experience highly recommended
- Available to start ASAP
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Safe and productive work ethic
- Provide recent work referees
- Able to undergo and pass Medical and D&A Test
