The Opportunity

As a Weighing and Scanning Officer at the East Gippsland Livestock Exchange, you’ll ensure all stock entering the exchange accurately documented to maintain stock traceability scanning, Weighing and processing stock entering and leaving the saleyards.

You’ll enter data provided by vendors, liaise with agents, compile reports and process final sale information.

This is a casual position based from the East Gippsland Livestock Exchange in Bairnsdale.

Things You’re Proud Of (Key Selection Criteria)

  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Experience in administrative tasks and computer literacy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Knowledge of industry regulations is desirable
  • A current, valid Victorian Driver’s licence.

If successful, you will need to undertake a police check and pre-employment medical check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
