We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team at our Dandenong South facility. This hands-on role requires a motivated individual with a commitment to safety and a drive for success. The position offers a 9-day fortnight schedule and a competitive market-based salary, dependent on experience and qualifications.
This is opportunity may lead to permanent full-time.
Salary: $52.07 per hour
Monday to Friday 6.30am - 3.30pm on-going role
RDO once a fortnight
Must undergo pre-employment medical assessment including drug and alcohol analysis, musculoskeletal evaluation, and hearing test.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct framework sections using metal and other materials.
- Assemble sections using welding, bolting, screwing, and riveting techniques.
- Cut and shape sheet metal, aluminum, and reinforced plastic panels.
- Modify assembly line vehicles to meet specific requirements.
- Prepare and install vehicle trim work.
- Perform plastic repair and panel painting.
- Attach door trims, rubber seals, locks, and handles.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate III or IV in Engineering (Fabrication) or equivalent
- Previous experience in vehicle manufacturing or coach body building is highly desirable.
- Experience in chassis construction, fabrication, and sheet metal work is advantageous.
