About the organisation…
Winter Shelter Toowoomba provides a volunteer driven safety net for people experiencing homelessness during the cold harsh Toowoomba winter months of June, July and August.
Local churches partner together to provide their facilities to individuals who are sleeping rough, offering beds, free meals, a caring community, and support. Through the care and support of its volunteers, Winter Shelter Toowoomba provides more than just a place to stay – it is about providing hope, dignity and community.
Winter Shelter Toowoomba partners with the Toowoomba Housing Hub to receive referrals and works with a range of community organisations to make referrals for services which are central to breaking down barriers to homelessness.
