The Melbourne Girls Grammar Senior Years Program is responsive to the world our Grammarians will live, study and work in beyond graduation: we focus on developing an enterprising mindset so that our Grammarians are academically, emotionally and socially ready for the pace and complexity of global lives. It builds on current curriculum and wellbeing provisions, providing a sophisticated, integrated experience of academic, co-curricular and wellbeing programs.
We are looking for a collaborative, dynamic and professional Wellbeing Coach, to join the Senior Years Wellbeing Coaching Team on a fixed term contract until the end of 2024.
The successful candidate is passionate about making connections that support students to be independent and resilient learners. Wellbeing Coaches are non-teaching staff specialised in counselling and/or health qualifications or have an outstanding record working in pastoral care and are ready for this next move.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Senior Years, the Wellbeing Coach will be responsible for:
guiding the student in optimising their opportunities, academic and co-curricular;
tracking and profiling the student’s holistic progress;
collaborating with other wellbeing service professionals to provide all-round care for our students;
providing wellbeing sessions that are group and cohort specific; and
formative feedback within our wellbeing ecosystem for students they coach
This highly motivated individual will have:
the ability to coach, influence and inspire young people;
knowledge of best practice for the wellbeing of young people and a high level of confidentiality;
excellent interpersonal skills including a demonstrated ability to consult and interact with students, parents and staff;
outstanding team work skills and mindset, initiative, drive and integrity; and
a related tertiary qualification in the area of health and wellbeing of young people is desirable.
