Home-based Destination Australia Travel Specialist
Groups Coordinator
Full-time - 40 hrs/wk
What you will be doing
Part of an open and extrovert team you will be responsible for the arrangements of the tour groups we are contracted to operate on behalf of overseas tour operators and will also assist our B2B/wholesale team with the preparation of individual traveller's quotes and confirmed bookings.
Your duties include communication with the tour operators and wholesalers, customizing travel programs and subsequently confirming availability, rates and bookings with suppliers incl. accommodation providers and transport and activity operators. You will prepare the travel documents for your bookings and when guests are in the country it is your responsibility to ensure a smooth operation of their travel itinerary - a seamless customer experience is the common thread in your daily work.
What you need to bring
For this position you have good social and communication skills and you have demonstrable commercial experience. You work independently and can plan, organize and multi-task well. Naturally, you are eager to travel!
- Diploma of Travel and Tourism Management or similar
- Demonstrable work experience in a similar position in the travel industry (min. 3 years)
- Customer service and results oriented, flexible attitude
- Well-developed administrative skills and eye for detail
- Demonstrable numeracy skills and strong use of Excel
- High computer proficiency and experience with other MS Office applications
- In possession of a valid Australian work visa when applicable (no Working Holiday Visa)
In addition, our ideal colleague has extensive travel experience within Australia, is an accredited Australia Specialist and has experience in the use of Amadeus (CRS).

A home-based position with flexible working hours in a small and informal team. Salary will depend on experience, education and seniority. Secondary employment conditions include possibilities for (further) training & education as well as the development of product knowledge by going on periodic educationals.
