About the Role – Wheel Alignment Technician
We are seeking an experienced Wheel Alignment Technician to join our Campbelltown store. In this role, you will identify and rectify faults in vehicle stability and tyre wear by checking and servicing the steering system and suspension. You will also identify and interpret tyre and rim regulations, adjust alignments and conduct post alignment checks via methods such as road testing.
Occasionally you will be required to carry out fitting, balancing, repairs and general servicing of tyres and wheels as directed. You will be held to a standard that is aimed to enhance the company, its products and services, optimizing customer safety and satisfaction.
You will be working in a well-equipped and organised workshop, closely alongside your service advisor, head motor mechanic, motor mechanics, and tyre technicians to deliver an industry leading level of customer service.
Your day-to-day tasks would include:
- Repairing and maintaining customer vehicles
- Carrying out wheel alignments, wheel balancing and other wheel/suspension related services
- Identifying faults in vehicle stability and tyre wear
- Fitting, rotating and servicing tyres
- Providing advice and reporting potentially dangerous risks found on customer vehicles
- Safely operating hoists
- Conducting road tests as required
About you
- Preferably 2 or more years experience wheel aligning
- Excellent communication skills when dealing with customers and team members
- Able to work in a team environment, but also unsupervised
- Have an understanding of targets and KPI’s
- Excellent time-management and problem-solving skills
- MUST be physically fit and able to carry out day-to-day tasks
- Knowledge of WHS practices
- MUST be experienced and knowledgeable in the automotive and/or tyre industry
