Reporting to the Senior WHS Manager, the WHS Compliance Coordinator will help drive compliance in our safety systems by implementing and maintaining the safety management systems on site. This is a full time role, based in Strahan with flexibility on start and finish times during the season. The successful candidate will ideally have a Coxswain ticket and a Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety, however if you don't have these we are happy for you to obtain while working for us. You must be able to negotiate the use of Microsoft Suite products.
What does your week look like?
Roster: 4/3 roster working 10hr days
Location: Strahan - Western Zone leases
Time on Water: At least 30% of your time
Safety Systems: Implementation, administration and maintaining of the corporate safety system ensuring site WHS compliance
Compliance: Facilitating WHS hazard identification, risk assessments (JSA), risk control and other safety related tasks
Investigations: Supporting the onsite team with the timely reporting of incidents and injuries and conducting subsequent incident investigations
Injury Management: Ensuring Tassal’s Injury Management protocols are supported on site and vessel
Stakeholder Support: Support site leadership groups to achieve a physical and psychological safe work environment
Contractor Management: Assist with effective WHS management of contractors
