About the Role
Based in Hunter Valley, NSW as the WHS & Training Manager you will be overseeing multiple locations, with responsibilities ranging from day-to-day operations to developing projects.
This multi-site responsibility requires a dynamic approach to health, safety, environmental compliance, and community engagement. Your guidance will be pivotal in aligning our client’s strategies across various locations, ensuring consistency and excellence in all aspects.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide WHS & Training advice, expertise and leadership across the business.
- Engage with and influence stakeholders on WHS & Training matters.
- Develop, implement and maintain a policies & procedures as required in line with the requirements of ISO 45001.
- Lead the correct and compliant application of our HSEQ strategy, policies and procedures to support health, safety and employee wellbeing.
- Oversee and manage the HSEQ Management system, audits and compliance.
- Ensure that all HSEQ related processes, procedures and initiatives are consistent and streamlined across the organisation globally.
- Engage in effective WHS consultation, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant WHS legislation.
- Manage the Injury Management and RTW process to ensure satisfactory outcomes.
- Manage the reporting and investigation of WHS incidents, including leading serious incident investigations with teams to ensure appropriate analysis and effective mitigation and prevention of reoccurrence.
- Undertake WHS risk management activities, monitor, and analyze WHS data to identify trends, emerging issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Manage training and competency requirements including the development and delivery of training.
- Managing and maintaining ISO 45001 certification.
Experiences and Qualifications – Essential:
- 5 years’ experience in a WHS/training focused role.
- Tertiary qualifications in Work Health & Safety
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- First Aid Certificate.
- Australian Police Clearance or ability to obtain.
- Knowledge and understanding of the relevant Legislation, Compliance Codes and Codes of Practices, Australian Standards and Guidance Materials.
Desirable:
- ISO 45001 or AS/NZS 4801 Lead Auditor Certificate
