The WHS & Wellbeing Coordinator provides operational and advisory Work Health & Safety (WHS)and Wellbeing services to the LSA, facilitating continuous improvement and legislative compliance, in accordance with relevant legislation and standards, including the Work Health Safety Act (2012), and any related Amendment Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards and guidelines, Audit and Verification (AVS) system, and accreditation standards.

The role works in close partnership with the LSA senior management, managers, supervisors, workers and their representatives to facilitate the implementation of the WHS system at designated sites and contributing to identifying assessing and controlling WHS issues and risks. The role is responsible for contributing to an effective Injury Management system for, ensuring legislative compliance, deliverable sustainability that will support best practice and continual improvement.

In addition, the WHS & Wellbeing Coordinator is responsible for providing a range of administration and support functions to support workers within the LSA, including coordinating and providing support to the WHS working group, committees, collating data, preparing reports, organising training and contributing to projects and programs within the WHS, Wellbeing & Programs team. In addition, the role provides a range of project management and support services, including data collation and report preparation, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, and implementing and monitoring project plans.

The WHS & Wellbeing Coordinator will be responsible for, and contribute to, the delivery of WHS strategies, business improvement programs, ergonomics, hazards and incidents and the wellbeing programs while managing initiatives and interpreting and implementing policies and frameworks. The role is also responsible for the provision of high-level support to the Manager WHS, Wellbeing & Programs. The WHS & Wellbeing Coordinator contributes to the delivery and maintenance of efficient work practices and processes across all Work Health & Safety and Wellbeing initiatives within the LSA.

Remuneration
ASO5 ($84,522 - $94,003)

Special Conditions

  • Some out of hours work may be required.
  • Travel to health and community facilities, including intra- or inter-state, may be required.
  • You may be assigned to other positions at the same remuneration level across the organisation.
  • Appointment will be subject to the provision of a valid National Police Check (NPC) that is no more than six months old.
  • Australian residency or current work permit is required (responsibility of the applicant to provide evidence of current work permit).
