What's the role?

We are currently looking for a skilledAuto Electrician to join our team in Whyalla. The main focus of these roles will be helping keep our modern fleet of Prime movers, earthmoving equipment and all mechanical equipment operational and serviced, maintained and repaired as needed in accordance with requirements.

What we are offering? 

• Rates: $50-$54 per hour, flat rate + superannuation
• Roster: 4 days on / 3 days off
• Residential based role in Whyalla

Specific Responsibilities:

• Carry out truck and trailer scheduled servicing, maintenance and inspections
• Maintain fleet paper trail on servicing, maintenance and repairs
• Carry out repairs/parts change outs as directed
• Attend fleet roadside breakdowns
• Communicate effectively with drivers and plant operators
• Order parts using order numbers and listed suppliers
• Maintenance of company vehicles and mechanical aids 
• Identify and record deficiencies relating to products and services

To be successful in this role, candidates must have:

• Auto Electrician Trade Certification
• EBS, MT Data & Guardian DSSI experience advantageous but not necessary 
• Experience working with Heavy Duty Diesel Equipment
• Experience in a heavy industry transport or mining environment (highly regarded)

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a variety of people
• Ability to work autonomously using a proactive approach to task resolution
• Ability to work well within a team environment
