The Hamilton Island Wildlife Park is an island favourite, particularly for the many visiting families. Here our guests can get up close and personal with our native wildlife from the friendly Koalas, Wallabies and Kangaroos to the not-so-friendly Dingoes, Crocs, Reptiles and Cassowaries.
We now have an opportunity available for a Wildlife Park Attendantto join our front of House operations in the Wildlife Park.

You will be responsible for:
Font of House duties including food and beverage within the café, cleaning, retail and admissions of the park. You will welcome guests and visitors to the park and work closely with the team and Park Manager to maximise revenue and guest experiences.
You will also:
- Ensure Food safe handling standards are practiced at all times
- Carry out café, retail and cashier duties in line with the role description for the shift allocated
- Perform opening and closing duties in accordance with HIE SOP’s as requested by the supervisor or manager
- Respond to guest enquiries, reservations, requests and complaints in a prompt and courteous manner. Take personal responsibility to ensure maximum guest satisfaction at all times
- Assist the animal keeper team as and when required/requested by management with routine duties
- Maintain outlet presentation in line with relevant HIE checklists and SOP’s
- Accurately process all reservations, photo packages and park experiences as per SOP’s
About You
You are a cup half full kind of person, with a “can do” attitude, you’re organised, friendly, polite and enjoy working in a close-knit team and understand that the role you are performing is critical to our guests enjoyment of the Island.
To be successful you will have:
- A minimum of 1 year experience in customer service and café environment
- Drivers licence
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent personal presentation
