About the role
As the Wind Engineer in this team you'll work across a portfolio of wind farm projects taking responsibility for all aspects of wind resource assessment and wind data analysis. You'll work on the preparation of energy yield forecasts as well.
Key Responsibilities
- You'll work as part of a cross functional team, reporting to the Development Manager providing technical direction around wind resource assessment strategy.
- You'll work to collect and deliver bankable wind data for the portfolio
- You'' conduct data analysis and energy yield forecasts
- You'll run quality assurance on collected data
- You'll manage scope and deliverables of consultants who provide data management yield forecasts
About you
- You have relevant qualifications in engineering or related fields
- You have 3+ years of experience in the field in Wind Engineering or related roles
- Demonstrable understanding of wind energy industry, including wind resource assessments, site evaluations, wind turbine technology, and the wind farm development process
- Wind resource assessment experience including constraint mapping, optimising the wind turbine locations and determining energy yield of wind farm sites
- Knowledge of remote sensing technologies
- Project management and wind farm project development experience is preferred
