Our client's are Australia’s leading Wind Turbine installation and maintenance companies, supported by specialist heavy crane capabilities. They provide full-scope packages including operations & maintenance, installations, inspections, heavy lifting, and heavy crane relocation.
Due to an ongoing growth in the renewable's sector, they are looking for Wind Turbine Technicians to join their team. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn and be able to adapt to different work environments across Australia, present themselves in a professional manner and have a high regard for Health and Safety.
You MUST have a White Card, Working at heights, and a GWO Basic Safety Training certificate in order to be considered for this role.
Job Summary
This is an exciting fly in fly out opportunity in the Wind Industry, where you will be responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, conducting regular inspections, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Wind Turbines. Their work is supported by their team of heavy crane specialists, who will lift and move the turbine components.
Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on Wind Turbines, including lubrication, component replacement, and system testing.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues to ensure optimal turbine performance.
• Conduct diagnostic tests and utilise specialised tools and equipment to identify and resolve technical problems.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Maintain accurate reporting and detailed reports using various software.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and optimise turbine performance.

Skills and experience

• Mechanical experience (maintenance fitters, mechanics, diesel fitters), or relatable trades.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components.
• Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments in varying weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
• Able to pass Pre-Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol Screening
