We are an independent service provider to the Australian wind energy sector, operating since 2013. We offer a wide variety of services including service & maintenance, support during installation, operations & maintenance and consulting services on wind farms located across Australia.
Job Summary
Due to ongoing growth in the renewable's sector, we are currently looking for Mechanical orientated Technicians to join our team with an immediate start.
You must have Construction Induction (white Card), Working at heights with a rescue component or GWO Basic Safety Training. Previous experience in the Wind Industry would be highly regarded.
These roles offer a diverse position in the Wind Industry, you will perform tasks from service, maintenance and repairs on Wind Turbines to ad-hoc site needs required as part of the ongoing maintenance of a Wind Farm.
Our ideal candidate will be able to adapt to the different work environments at each of the customer sites across Australia, present themselves in a professional manner and have a high regard for Health and Safety.
You must have great communication skills, able to work as part of a remote team and be comfortable directly liaising with customers on site and with our management team from remote locations.
Duties include but not limited to;
- Perform inspection & repairs of Wind Turbine components.
- Perform scheduled & unscheduled service / maintenance activities.
- Report errors, incidents or issues to site manager or lead technician.
- Verify that the work is completed in compliance with customer requirements.
- Interpret the requirements of manuals, specifications, bulletins, work instructions, etc. and devise work plans.
- Maintain accurate reporting and detailed reports using various software.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with company permits to work, SWMS, LOTO, HSE and any associated policies/procedures.
Skills and experience
- Mechanical experience (maintenance fitters, mechanics, diesel fitters, or similar) or trade would be highly regarded.
- Must be proficient in fault finding mechanical and hydraulic equipment or have previous exposure in similar environments
- Must be willing to follow instruction and use ones initiative to complete physically demanding tasks at heights.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management remotely
- Able to pass Pre-Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol Screening
- Be willing to provide acceptance for pre-employment National Police Check.
- Current Drivers License
- White Card
- Current First Aid/CPR (highly regarded)
- Working at Heights with rescue component
- Or GWO Certification (highly regarded)
