Expression of Interest Electrical  Wind Turbine Technician - Inspection WorksSA/WA

We are seeking expressions of interest for an Electrical Trades person to come join SBL Solutions Services in the Wind Industry . The position will require travel predominately in South AU and Western AU and where required travel to all other regions of AU including NZ.

The role will require you to work autonomously and will require you to travel in pairs whilst carrying out Wind Turbine Annual Statutory Compliance Inspections. Company Vehicle will be provided for Inspection works. 

 COMPANY BACKGROUND:

SBL Solutions Services is an Australian owned company that provides Inspection, Field Service Support and various scopes of installation works on Wind Turbines. 

FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Conduct periodic inspection and certification of Wind Tower access systems

• Maintain training and qualifications required as a Competent Person
• Complete all appropriate documentation for every inspection
• Assist in making available to the customer complete and concise Certification Records

 Inspection of Turbine Internal Systems

• Develop extensive product knowledge and complete necessary training
• Prepare appropriately detailed execution plans
• Complete all appropriate documentation for each inspection

  To understand and follow all appropriate safe work practices at all times

• SBL Solutions Services Procedures and Policies
• SBL Solutions Services and customer SWMS, JSA, JHA, etc.
• Organise mobilisation of personnel and equipment to site
  • With assistance internally arrange flights and accommodation
  • Liaise directly with customer site representative 
  • Ensure necessary equipment to site
  • Organise and complete site specific induction
• Provide technical support on all inspected products where required
  • Timely response to all customer enquiries
  • Report damage and defect reports to customer 
  • Technical feedback to SBL Solutions as required for ongoing inspection/product development

KNOWLEDGES AND SKILLS (Education, Experience - or equivalents) 

1. Must be fluent in the English Language
2. Electrical trade qualification and or relevant industry experience
3. Self-directed goal-oriented individual possessing excellent communication and work ethic.
4. Demonstrate attention to detail by ensuring all appropriate documentations are completed for each inspection
5. Other relevant, but not required qualifications include: GWO training, working at heights, safety, manual handling, HV/LV rescue, fire awareness, first aid.
6. Basic Computer skills required. 
7. Strong communication skills, ability to work in a small team
8. Ability to work at heights in confined spaces
9. Strong safety culture and understanding of safety principles and compliance required
10. Comply with OH&S legislation, demonstrating a commitment to accident prevention and ensuring that all work is carried out safely and within relevant guideline

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

 Must be able to work at heights , in confined spaces within Wind Turbines in remote locations.

• Must be able to complete fit for duty requirements.
